Re: UH OHHH, What does this mean!!!!
Judging from your tear pattern.
I would say your bow isn't properly tuned.
Your either getting fletching contact on the shelf, or your rest needs to be moved a little to the right
I'll need to see a little more of the target that isn't posted to render a proper judgment.
If you can deliver it in white butcher paper or vacuum pack bags to my house. I'll tell you the true meaning of what you have.

I'm no expert, but I'm going out on a limb here and saying that I do believe that animal died due to massive blood loss
Very Cool pic!

Re: UH OHHH, What does this mean!!!!
You have bloodshot one of the best pieces of meat on a buck.
But you did not have to look for him very long.
Good shooting.

It takes 7 seconds for the human to move all 5 liters of blood once throughout the vascular system. Given the size of the creature, and the instant ventricular fibrillation, I'd say that bull was lights out in under 1 minute. Nice shot!

Re: UH OHHH, What does this mean!!!!
Alright, Sorry for the delayed response...Great week of hunting and had many good opportunities at mature bucks. In the end, I past on 9 different bucks that could have been arrowed. All of them were on the ground and still hunting. This was a strange year for me and calling. Last Tuesday, we (blacktailnut) and myself had two very mature bucks come into the call first thing in the morning. Neither offered a good shot to me and he had a 50 yd shot on the first one but chose not to shot. Later that day we split up and he arrowed a heck of a buck that has already been posted so i won't go into a ton of detail on that one. But his first archery buck was a stud that won't be forgotten.. I like to refer to him as the "Blacktail Whisperer."
I actually had sat my stand until 11:30 that morning with nothing happening at all. I knew where these bucks were bedding and decided to go slip into their bedding area since i was running out of time. I made it in and was quietly slipping along when i came up on a bedded doe at 50yd. We had about a 5 min standoff until she lost interest and moved on. I moved around the tree i was behind and had a bedded 3pt at 19 yds. I drew on him then decided not to shoot. He caught me when i let my bow down. He wasn't sure what was going on, but just kinda wandered out of the area. The doe started blowing at me from way higher then i anticipated she was. I caught a little more movement moving her way and got my glasses on it. Nice mature buck and i was hoping to have a crack at him. I continued with my bino's down his trail until i found an opening i could shoot into. At the same time i ranged in at 50 even and put my binos down. Drew my bow and the buck stepped into my lane and i grunted him to a stop. Before he could look my way, the arrow was in flight. I could tell it was a good hit when his back legs almost hit the top of a tree he was near. I got my grunt call to my mouth and he started rolling down the hill. Pretty sweet deal....

Re: UH OHHH, What does this mean!!!!
This has been a strange year for me as far as calling in bucks went. Didn't have much luck with it at all. Seemed i was always on the tail end of the rut in the areas i hunted. I only saw a few bucks with does and the ones i did see with the does weren't swollen or weren't chasing. Interesting game i tell ya...
Not sure what i'm going to do now...I guess it's bad news for the local coyotes and other predators....The highlight of my season was seeing my good friend Lindsay take such a great buck for his first animal with a bow....Now he's hooked.....
