Default It's snowing!

Little bit slushy, but snow, nonetheless! Thank you Lord above!

Oh, I love the snow!

I awoke to about three inches myself in West Richland Wa. First snow of the year here and its still coming down mixed with rain.
I love it too, but not hours before I need to drive 400 miles in it.

Cold here, and now slushing. I have my window open. It's dark, and I have a very keen snow ear.

How scientific, I am!

We have a light dusting, but we are up the river, here, and often get snow when Tillamook doesn't.
I'd pm Captain and Marie to see how it is, in town.

Be careful driving, Katie Ann. It's slippery across that route!

Be especially careful coming out of Wheeler, towards Tillamook up that hill. People coming down don't realize how slippery it is. It's a known spot for ice related wrecks.

No slush here.....

I took this at nightfall last night. It snowed all night, but it's still dark out.
Looks like I'm home for the day

The dang coons even ventured inside last night. I had to build a covered trash box, to set my cans in, as the coons kept raiding and spilling my trash. I moved it (trash) out by my boat shed, which is now over a hundred foot walk, just to take out the dang trash .

So...they came in the doggy door, last night. Man, my hounds were pizzed. I'm having a hard time getting them to settle down....geez, you'd think a few little bits of purina was no big deal

My wife remembers in '67 or '68 it snowed 3 feet on the beach at Windy Bay. A few of years ago it snowed more in Reedsport than here in Sisters. Enjoy it, I have to go ride a tractor and clear driveways now. A Brandy will be mighty fine when I am done. Let the song dog hunt begin. My wife just pulled in from Reedsport. She said she hit snow at Blue River and that it was pretty nasty on the pass with the trucks creating a white out at times. Drive carefully.

This "morning" at about 9:30 it was sunny and blue skies. Then looking to the west was a very dark cloud. Within about 10 minutes we had a good skif of snow covering the ground. About 20 minutes after it started, it stopped and the sun came back out.

We hit the 1600 foot level above Silverton this afternoon for some sledding. They had about 5-6 inches and it was so powdery you could hardly make a snowball. Coming down real light and fluffy out here at 410 feet.

I have never seen such mesmerizing beautiful flakes.

I love sitting inside in the warmth of the house, with the light on, outside to see. It's just amazing!

The flakes are huge and so many and thick!
We have way over 2 inches
I'm afraid to look at the weather report... is it going to melt before I can get out my sled?

Jen

About the same here, a few miles south of Astoria. Maybe 2" of snow.
If you want to play with the sled, better do it quickly.

Pretty interesting when the coast gets the conditions to have more snow than the valley. You lucked out! But its not winter yet, and the little I've seen is indeed beautiful.

I get lots of snow where I live, but never tire of watching it come down (even if I know that I have to get the shovel and snow blower out later). At night I often open a blind, turn the light on out side and turn off the lights in the house. I can sit like this for a long time just watching the snow fall.
