Brian Grant is a 100% class-act, and trader-Bob's coveting of the loser Shawn Kemp is the reason why Brian isn't here anymore.

Whitsitt needs to accept the fact that his drafting of Shawn Kemp from High School SUCKED.

I went to that Miami game, the Blazer fans did give him a huge ovation and went on to also cheer for every shot he made. I made a lot of disparaging remarks about Kemp. At one point Kemp hit a jump shot over Grant & the dude in front of me says "isn't that the big fat useless guy?"

Huh. YEAH, I wish we still had Brian. Ya gotta like Dale Davis though, but Kemp is SURPLUS. When the season started I picked my favorite Blazer (having lost BG) to be - BONZI. Got that one right!

Ehhhh - fishing, yeah, mmmm, Buoy 10, oh yeah can't wait that was pretty fun.

I really liked Brian Grant. Still do, but he demanded too much money and ultimately let playing time issues come before the team goals; during the off season. Now we are stuck with an overpaid has been in Kemp. Too bad. ... A lot of the Blazers over ther years liked to fish. Some serious fishers. A couple centers really got into it, especially Kevin Kunnert who has his own sled. I see him often backtrolling the Clack during springer season. And Kevin Duckworth's sled was ... yup ... a Duckworth. - RT

Shawn Kemp is 5 fouls for Shaq. As a bonus, if he can chuck 50 lbs or so, we get the ReignMan back. I say keep him and throw more food at him.

The story of him wanting a ton more money was that...a story. Damage control for the Blazers, as Whitsitt wanted Kemp for some completely unknown reason. Brian nixed a trade to Cleveland because rastamen don't want to live in Ohio, so they did a three way.

Kemp was a huge mistake, and he will prove it shortly.

I will take a team of Gary's anytime,ya he's got a litle attitude but it's never been about his effort.
But we've got a soft power forward I would be willing to get rid of...cheap,
I guess with Shawn in town does that mean the poulation will be increasing...again....hide you're daughters

Hey OS - at last count I think Kemp is one short of putting 2 complete teams on the floor with his spawnings. I've always wondered at what point he will actually start using prevention. I guess it really speeks loudly for his common sense. Glad hes out of Seattle, cause he uses that same brain to play with.....lets see if I can get this right:

pump fake
pump fake
pump fake......ooops ball stolen, or 3 in da key, or (my favorite) travelling.

He was a tired story when he left the NW. BTW - a couple more GPs on the team would be alright with me.

He's been doing a lot of pumping with not much faking, hence his brood.

I was talking with Dwight Jaynes awhile back and I *HAD* to ask him what Whitsitt was thinking when he got rid of Grant for Kemp. His thought was that Bill was still enamoured in Kemp and that he (Jaynes) didn't see why either. We were talking about how he will inevitably be a morale problem and someone else commented about having to deal with Kemp's "inner child".

My comment back was "he has so damned many outer children that he doesn't NEED an inner child".

Betcha he ends up with a raging case of crotch crickets, if he doesn't have `em already.

Hey I love Gary, man he leaves all out on the floor every night, not many guys in the NBA like him any more, be thankful all he does is talk trash, it could be worse, he could be running around spawning with shawn or beating women! I would like to see Brian Grant in a Seattle uniform, I always liked watching him with the Blazers.
