Default .243 Wssm

Well I picked up a .243 WSSM in a Winchester Model 70 Super Shadow today. to pass up a scoped Winchester for $250 bucks would just be stupid...(I promise I'm not bragging). My question is does anyone have any experience with the .243 WSSM? Has anyone worked up any loads? Thanks ahead of time.

No experience, but I'm sure you can find load data online. Might I also suggest buying as much brass as you think you will ever need. Although I'm a short mag fan, and I'm sure its a fine cartridge, I don't think this one will stand the test of time.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link to another furom but here is some .243 WSSM data.

I love this cartridge!!!!

I am still working on several loads, but from the shooting I have done, the caliber is amazing. I have also worked up a killer load for the 223 WSSM. We had a beer can a 560 yards and hitting it and around it consistently.

I will not go into the load, but the best powder I have found for the caliber is the old trusty 4350. The V-max bullets are fun to watch when they hit a sage rat at over 4000 fps.
