Default Hey R.T.

Hey R.T. This will be a Intro in Retro. Mikie is my nickname it's known in a fishing circle on the alsea river, and a few people in newport know it too. Some people on this board think my post's are bull, that's their loss as far as I'm concerned. I probably should have listed my SIX-PAC # or my OGP registration , or stated how much it cost's for liability insurance, just to take someone fishing for a day. Oh well $#!T happen's. I like the privacy so do you huh, Technically retired from that madhouse, can't by true love ya know . Well I learned from some of the best on this river and I'm still learning there's still a few fish left in this river , but as you well know it take's year's to learn a river. I like to think that I walk in the shadow of legend's on this river. Fishing to me is really the ultimate headrush, there's nothing better. I'm addicted to fish . I probably won't bother posting my river report's , because it seem's to upset some of the local college crowd. I guess they need to put in the year's , fishin that is . Thank's R.T. SEE YA MIKIE.

Hi Mikie. Ya, I read the doubting post about your fishing trip. But I only recall it being one guy, not some in a crowd. And one of the guys from Corvallis got after the immature guy and defended your posts. Oh well, ain't a big deal. I sure hope to see your continued posts and fishing reports because the silent majority appreciate them! Take care. - RT

Hey Mikie! Don't stop posting your fishing reports. So what if some guy thinks they're bull. As long as you help one person, you've made a difference. And you help me everytime so at least post them for my sake. I'm sure many others benifit from them as well but just don't type anything. Keep up the good work and I hope to meet you someday on the river .

Mikie-

I hope you don't stop posting your success stories just because of someone who can't catch a fish. I find them very interesting as the Alsea was where I learned to steelhead fish and I spent 3 years on that river. Barclay's is a big area and, if you're like I was, I usually wandered off above the bridge or way down below it to let the plunkers have their hole. Hell of a hole right above the bridge on the right side of the river (you know which side) and I've caught fish there when I know nobody could see me. Keep posting, fishing, and catching and let others have their opinions. I'll go fishing with you anytime as I certainly don't think you're blowing smoke!

Mikie,
I grew up in Albany and now live in Canby, I still have a passion for fishing the Alsea and the Siletz. I to have put in allot of time on both those rivers. Since I live so far away from them now I really rely on good reports from the poeple down your way. This information helps me determine when the most productive time is to come down to fish instead of wasting a whole day driving down for nothing. I am currently planning a trip to the Siletz next month but I am just waiting for some good reports to set a date. Please keep up the good reports for our sake. It's always the few that spoil it for the many.

Let them sit on the forum and try to figure out how you cought all them fish and if they ask me how I caught mine I will tell them that I payed attention when other more experienced people posted information on how to do it...
