Default Blacktail and elk above Sweet home

Hello to everyone. This is my first post on here. I've been reading on this forum for sometime now. And have got some usefull info.

I'm going to be trying to rattle in a buck this season. I've always hunted over east, but didn't have any luck this years. Also looking for elk. I use to live outside of eugene so we always hunted above oakridge for elk and always got elk in the late season. Now that I live outside of lebanon I was thinking of going up sheep creek or detroit lake or there abouts. That way it's closer to home.

I've heard in the past that the snow would push the deer and elk down in there.

I'm trying to find out some info in that area. If anyone has been up in that area?
