Hi Garret, welcome to Ifish. Clackamette? I recommend taking some stale bread.

... Ducks. OK, fish? Only a few being caught off Meldrum Bar by the bankies and a very few by boat anglers in the O.C. area. There has been suprisingly decent success, especially by Clack winter steelhead standards in recent years, from about Riverside on up to Bonnie Lure area near Eagle Creek. Driftboating is best. It's just a little low for sleds, unless you knowd the slots up there well. There is limited bank access up the river. The 'Coffee Hole' from the south side of the river is a couple miles below Carver, the upper end of the Carver Bridge stretch up by Clear Creek on the south/parking lot side is ofter good, and fishing the area around Barton Park from the north side is a good area with a few good bank spots that are productive. Some guy like to park near the lower end of Eagle Creek, on the north side before getting to Estacada, and hike down that small river to fish the good holding water off the mouth out in the Clackamas River. Good luck. BTW, as the weather gets warmer in the spring, feeding the ducks after you've fished springers in the morning can have other rewards at Clakamette (and High Rocks); i.e. - sunbathing babes
