Re: Photoshop or not?
I work in photoshop, all day everyday. Ever seen a G.I. Joe's billboard??? Yep, those come from my computer. I really dont think it is photoshopped since there are no hard lines around the goose and the amount of blur is the same for the entire photo. can usually pick photoshopped items out fairly easily.
Its like a contractor who build homes, they can look at a house and see all the flaws, I can't. However, I can tell when something has been added or fixed on or to photos.
I think its real.

Re: Photoshop or not?
I'd say 'shopped, beardbuster, but different than what you were thinking: the person is 'shopped into the pic, not the bird.

Re: Photoshop or not?
I'd have to guess that it's real...
Don't they teach you in the class that the duskys will decoy easier than the others?
Nice pic Scott. Good to see some action shots from that camera.

Dusky, I would have guessed it to be a cackler.

Re: Photoshop or not?
I'd say it's real. Last weekend a buddy went to jump a cackler out of the decoys and it was like watching him shoot pheasants over a pointer. He pretty much had to kick it to get it to fly.

Re: Photoshop or not?
The last one could definately happen. I have been in the decoys hundreds of times and had birds land a few feet from me. Mostly with ducks, but the cacks are not the smartest of birds.

i would say its a fake! The two are the exactly the same on the left. Only the leg is photo shopped to take out the band. Wings are the same.

Re: Photoshop or not?
I would say that dip he has in is shopped... that's just not a human sized dip of chaw in there!

Re: Photoshop or not?
Marshbum
I was about to say the exact same thing about that dip. Dang Evan that is a serious chew. Dont ya know it will kill ya.
I would say that that Photo is NOT photo shopped. My guess was that was a pet cackler. I know alot of other guys have had em in their spreads. The ones that are so content sitting with the decoys that even when you yell, scream, etc. They dont want to leave. Evan was either gonna pounce or throw his ball of chew at it.

Re: Photoshop or not?
The bird is in front of the guy with the monsterous dip in his lip. The birds wings are clearer and the logo on his hat is not. Depth of field - photography terms.

Re: Photoshop or not?
so I have small lips, geeeeeez, you guys are mean!! At least I have geese to shoot and not the poor little pathetic ones that might or might not have landed in the decoys!!!
steelheadslayer, tell your buddy he should really get out goose hunting more if the idea of killing that goose was appealing.

Hmm.... well, I'd guess it's behind him, based on the relative size, and Evan's tiny little head. Want to bet a can of Grizzly (3 dips for Evan) on it?

Re: Photoshop or not?
Well, I'll pass on the chew. I tried it once and tossed my cookies when I was younger. Broke me of the habit instantly.
Do people chew that much to use as goose bait or a cover scent??? I think the people on this thread are more impressed with Evans mouth than the goose - photoshopped or not.

Whew! That was close.
Gottafish's post convinced me to give up my amateur chewer status, so Evan can have my 3/4 full can of Skoal that I bought in August.
It's wintergreen - joke's on you Evan!
