Default Sandy Success

More than a few anglers experienced success on the lower Sandy this week end. I saw fish caught on flies, bobber/jig and drifted bait. Also talked to boaters who had sucess, including a couple who took four hatchery fish Saturday. A few natives were caught but most were hatchery fish with the dual right maxillary/adipose clip. Not sure what those clips indicate on two salt fish from the Sandy but will check with ODFW. All in all the best weekend that I'm aware of on the Oxbow to Dabney section. Water still very low and clear with very little boat activity between Dodge Park and Oxbow. The cats are even staying off that section right now.

I'll take credit for the turn around as this was the first weekend I stayed away from the river .....
