Default Need some help (info)

I have a friend that fishes in the Portland area and Tillamook for for fall chinook and winter steelhead. For chinook he likes fishing eggs and float in tide water, for steelhead drift fishing. He might be moving to the Seattle area is there any fishing in the Seattle area (with in a 1 1/2 hours) where he can fish the same or is it all in the puget sound.
Thanks...

Tell your buddy to checkout catcherman.com. One of the moderators, Carl, ablsoutely kills 'em up there. The fish are generally a lot smaller and the runs not as healthy, but there are fish to be caught. Two years ago I got several nice humpies off of Smokey Point in Port Susan. Crabbing there is EXCELLENT. Hood Cannal is also a hot spot and the outter waters sport some nice big halibut.

by far, its not all in the Puget Sound....there are several rivers in the area, Snohomish system, which includes the Skykomish and Snoqualmie...probably the most popular and closest. The Cowlitz is 2 hours or less depending on where you live....plus there are some smaller streams throughout the area. Then theres' the CHehalis, Satsop, and Wynoochie....plenty of places to get the boat wet. Then theres' the Peninsula with many great rivers. THe list goes on and on. ANd if 30lb kings and 20lb silvers are smaller......we're sorry about that  ) Russ (plus its no more than 2 hours to the Columbia at the dike street launch, mouth of Cowlitz)
