Default Nehalem Sturgeon!?!?!?!?!?!?

Ok. I keep getting conflicting reports. Where 's the place to go in Nehalem Bay for Sturgeon? Upper bay...mainstem river? Is it as "hot one day...dead the next" as I have read in previous posts...or is everyone who knows being hush-hush!? FILL US IN!

As much as I hate to respond to this I will.

Where are the sturgeon? You need to hop around from the bay to the main stem of the river. If you put your boat in at the state park be really carefull going up river as there is a lot of sand bars and shoaling. The channel is not very wide so unless you really know where the channel is do not try it at low tide.
The Nehalem is very moody and it is probably more accurate to describe it as hot one day and dead for the next week. Unfortunately "hot" on the Nehalem does not mean the same as "hot" on the Columbia or Willamette. Four fish hooked would be considered hot.
