Default Christmas Tree Tag

I was wonder if anyone could help me? When I was a kid in WA, my dad would purchase a christmas tree harvest tag and we could go into the Forrest and harvest a tree we found. I was wondering if Oregon did the same thing? I don't mind going to the tree farms, but it would be alot more fun to go into the forrest and find our own.

Links or phone numbers would be helpful,
Thanks!

Just google Forest Service Christmas Tree. The website is down just now but it will give your the information you need to get your permit.

Up in these parts, alot of mini-marts carry the permits. The last time we bought one was about 3 years ago and they were $5.00 if i remember correctly. Just a little side note. Get off the road a little ways or that tree will be real dusty. I only know from experience.

You can get your permit or tag at a Forest Service Station and as mentioned you can also purchase them at some little stores along the way.

We went out last rear to get a tree, I told my girls the had to shoot our tree with a .22 before we could tag it, they thought it was fun.
