Final cost of $89,000,100.00 I think there were a few people messing around, and will retract their bid.

Ya think?

I looked at the winning bidder's history and he/she is bidding on RC car parts. Teenager?

seems like there's alot of that going on there today, most of the systems have high bids by people with 0 feedback and have just registered . My wife is still mad that I didn't wait all night to pre order last month so I could turn a profit.
something tells me this winning bidder is a phake http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Playstation...QQcmdZViewItem

I knew somthing was up when the system went past $5K. It's just funny how much people are willing to pay for a video game.

Not only is it sad that people will pay that kind of for a video game, but isn't sad that the parents are affraid to say "no" to there kids. Its no wonder I don't like Christmas any more, is this what it's coming to...sad.

I read that some people in northern Washington got shot while in line. Thieves demanded their money and the people refused to give it to them. Also somewhere else a news reporter was interviewing people in line when someone open fired and hit a few of the people, including the reporter, with a BB gun.

Crazy stuff!

Default I think its sad that there is a thread judging and

Condeming others for how they choose to spend their own money! Same people that pay 2K for video game system probably can't believe some people would pay 10K for a fishing boat.....

So fess up Purplepassion... how much did you pay for your PS3?

apples to apples. Not often you find people paying 4x retail or more just to have what they want TODAY, rather than waiting a month for supply to meet demand.

Well if they could have bought that same boat 3 months later for $2500, then yeah, that was a waste of money too (in my opinion).

But I do agree with you. Its their business how they choose to spend their money. I could really care less and who am I to judge.

Ok I have to ask this....

What is so special about the PS3? Why is it such a big deal?

and what is the difference with the PS3 and the XBOX360?

Inquirng minds really would like to know. I don't play this stuff, never have been into it but my kids sure are.
