Default Propane hose and torch, questions

Anybody here able to make custom hoses.

I need a short 2 - 3 ft hose to go from a small propane bottle to a torch nozzle.

Will be using this for searing fish when I make sushi. When the torch is screwed directly onto the propane bottle and turned upside down it starts getting liquid vs gas and quits working properly.

Any suggestions, Ideas?

The hardware store sells torches with hoses. I think they are for plumbers for sweating copper pipe. We have a butane torch about the size of a water glass that is nice, has the built in spark button too.

I don't think you're supposed to turn it upside down. I have two small torches and neither would work turned upside down.

The regular Torch for pipes plumbers use. " Blast o-matic?" I think is the brand name. I hooked a bulk tank hose that is 5 foot long, that will screw into your bulk tank, then to your torch. This will give you flex for what you need. Upside down, side ways. I hooked mine up that way.

the hose is sold in coleman lantern sections most stores.

I think that is what your seeking?.

My propane torch with a hose has threads for the 16 or 20 OZ tanks. Don't remember where it came from.

Kitchen stores have real nice ones. If not go to a head shop they have all types as they are commonly used for smoking crack etc.

No doubt, probably have some nice chrome ones for creme bruleah at the nice kitchen stores. Ace hardware has some basic ones, and Sears too. I always start at our local Ace store, as I don't want them to fold up. The propane ones with a swivel head or 90 degree head will work with out tipping the cylinder more than 30 degrees. The ones with wider flames cook more evenly.

Might want to try Hometown Hearth on TV Hwy, they have tons of hoses in various sizes. Olinger or Curtis might also have something in their parts departments.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up buying a cream boulee kit on Ebay for 20 bucks delevered. Included an professional grade butane torch that will work nicely for searing my fish and it is nice and small. Looks like Janey or I will just have to learn how to make Cream Boulee.

thanks all
