I've been fishing for a number of years now. Aquired a number of rods and lots of gear. Even bought a boat. Lucky for me it's already camo.
A buddy of mine likes to blast things that fly. He's been after me to go duckin' with him. He doesn't particularly like the taste of duck; I've been warned aplenty about this but was turned on to the idea of duck sausage, then spent some time researching recipes here. Short story: I'm in.
I will be aquiring a shotgun in the near future. (Don't worry about putting on your kevlar vests; I've hunted before but it's been a while. I even tagged along on a deer hunt recently and didn't manage to even knick anyone in the party.) Figure I'll be duckin' some times in the boat, doing some jump shooting, maybe turkey, probably grouse. Depends on how far, how cold, how wet and how motivated I get.
I own (besides the boat) no camo. In addition to birding, I also plan to hunt deer. So I'm looking for the most flexible setup I can get. I was thinking of getting camo raingear since most hunting takes place in the wetter period of the year. I can layer beneath it for warmth. I'm sure in time (if I stick with hunting), I'll expand my camo wardrobe, but right now I'm looking at a reasonable expenditure of funds for something that won't fall apart after three trips yet is still considered entry level and the most versatile set of togs I can find.
