wanted: spinner/wobbler opinions
OK guys and gals, especially those with experience anchor fishing or trolling spinners and wobblers for springers.
The Kenai River requires one single-point hook and no bait for its run of "springers". For years now, it has been nothing but Spin-N-Glo's/Spinning Cheaters or the infamous Kwikfish dominating this fishery. I'm looking for a fresh approach... either forward-trolling or more likely back-trolling spinners and/or wobblers to give the fish something different to look at.
Any suggestions for technique and presentation would be appreciated. Do you prefer to hang on to your rods for an immediate hookset, or leave 'em in the rodholders and let Mr. Springer just hang himself?
