Any Cascade elk success
I hunted with the inlaws over the weekend and saw lots of cows but no shooters. Has anyone heard of any success?

Re: Any Cascade elk success
I saw a 4 point, full body, hide, horns, hair and all in the back of a little trailer going thru town Sat. Didn't even look like they had been hunting, just this elk in the back of one of those little home depot trailers, nothing else, behind an explorer or similar rig. Headed to their house on the east side.

Re: Any Cascade elk success
Just got off the phone with my mom. My nephew has a 5-pt (his first elk) down in some hell hole. My nephew, his wife, and two of my brothers are quartering and packing as I type. Can't wait to hear the story and see the critter.

Re: Any Cascade elk success
I saw a 6 pt in the back of a red crew cab in Salem today. Looked as though it was just horns.

Re: Any Cascade elk success
I hunted 3 1/2 days and unfortunately had to come home to go back to work. I saw one bull on Monday and a different one ( NICE BIG ONE ) on Tuesday but had no clean shot. It was very hard to come home after things started heating up for us but duty calls. We did find a very nice new area to hunt with little to no pressure so I'd say the hunt was a great success.

Re: Any Cascade elk success
I didn't hunt elk, but today I saw a very derogatory statement about elk scrawled into the dirt of a logging road by some hunter who obviously was not successful. Ironically, there were a ton of elk tracks nearby, too.
