Guess this boat
Hi everyone, I've found this boat over craigslist awhile back and it looks like something I would be "interested" in, but I can't since at the age I'm at wouldn't have enough time/money to have such fun on major projects.
The thing that's got me is, what brand and model is this particular boat? The entry and deadrise of the hull is what I think would fit my needs - planning a little ahead here, . In the post, the owner of this boat said this is a 35' Uniflite...I've looked and looked and there isn't a model corresponding to this boat for the company Uniflite...but here's what gives, he wrote the name of the boat as a "Uniflight", instead of Uniflite...are these two different companies or the owner doesn't know what he was taking about and made an assumption on the make?
I don't think i will need such a large boat, but the hull and configuration of layout in the boat really grabs at me. It's hull would be one that resembles Panga...? Thanks for all the help

Reason: it's a salty looking boat, so I guess the salty board is better? thanks admin!

Re: Guess this boat
I think all Uniflites have a keel.

Re: Guess this boat
Not sure of the brand but am sure its one huge project boat that will suck time and money like both are water in a downpour. Mark

Re: Guess this boat
Run away from this one - lots of cash outflow with little chance of recouping when you decide to upgrade, sidegrade, downsize

Re: Guess this boat
guys...I'm not asking if you guys think I should do a project like this or not ...
Only the make and model! haha, everyone's like "You should get as far away as you can! " Looking at my gut feeling, this is probably not a Uniflite, huh?
Any more opinions?

Re: Guess this boat
Check in with Padden Creek Marine, in Washington. They will be able to dispel the myth, as they are the Uniflite experts. As for the investment, it is all a mater of what is valuable ... to you. One of my favorite boats in Depoe Bay is an old Uniflite hull remodeled to look European. -D

Re: Guess this boat
From what I have found, Uniflite didnt make a 35 footer. None of the models look like that either. The rear section of the cabin looks like it was an add-on.

Re: Guess this boat
I saw this identical model of boat on the coast a couple of months ago. Can't remember which town but it was parked right near 101. I don't think it was this exact boat though because the one I saw was on a trailer. Not sure who made it but I can vouch that there is more than one and therefore the cabin must have been standard. They are a very interesting looking boat though. That's what caught my eye, fortunately it didn't catch my wallet!

Re: Guess this boat
The hull lines, - particularly the chine, makes me think of Glas-spar (sp), but that's just a guess. Not sure if they made anything that big.

Re: Guess this boat
There is the almost exact boat moored at the 1st dock in Depoe bay called the Reel Nauti. Not sure of the make though!
