This summer the wife and I were sturgeon fishing on the Columbia. While we waited for the big take down I was reading ifish on our laptop with the cell card. I came across Rods post for Salty Dog apparel and we decided that a couple of pullovers and caps would be just the ticket for the early fall mornings salmon fishing.
With little notice in August a dream job came my way and we relocated to Texas all in a period of two weeks. This all happened just as Rod was beginning to distribute the gear. Wouldn't you know it he sent it to our old address and then had to resend it again. I sincerely appreciate the extra effort.
I gotta admit, I've mourned not getting to fish this fall. I've really missed the time I got to spend with my family and friends watching the sunrises and the sunsets, the excitement of watching poles bury towards the water, and the chinese firedrills on the boats.
Today my Salty Dog Gear arrived in the mail and I was like a kid at Christmas. I'll be flying my Salty Dog flag along with the Pirate Flag at my office this week in honor of the Salty Dogs.
Once again, thanks Rod. You're a good man. If you find yourself in Texas you're welcome at our dinner table.
