"I'm new to waterfowl hunting"

"Hi, my name is Phoenix. I'm nine months old and hunted ducks for the first time on Saturday with my uncle (waterfowlin101). I don't mean to brag, but I'm kind of a natural. I sit real still in the blind and constantly watch the skies for movement. I also run out to all of the birds that the fellas in camoflague shoot. Although I wasn't able to retrieve many ducks on the opening day of the season (ya see...there was this other dog, Bernie, that beat me to all of the birds), I was able to finally make my first retrieve towards the later part of the hunt. I was real excited and held it up proud. I love hunting, and can't wait to get out a bunch more this season. I sure hope uncle my uncle will bring me along."

This photo shows 2 things Ive never had:#1. A wood duck (nice drake to boot) and #2 a 9 mo old dog.

It must be neat to see a really young dog find its groove.

Can't wait to get Chance out too. But he's gonna have to wait until I get some red meat hanging. (And no, Jimbo you can't borrow him....His 1st bird will be mine!... )
