Default What would Jesus do? He\'d celebrate!

Took my wife and I a while (not too long, but we're both impatient people) to get pregnant...and our thoughts from that day forward have been for things to go smoothly. We had a baby doc appointment last week, and they told us that our last milestone is for us to get to tomorrow, Friday the 20th, without the baby arriving early. Looks like we're home free! Baby is very active, but showing no signs of coming early. Looks like she knows we wont be ready for her till March 20th (due date).

In the meantime, we're getting the nursery finished up, arranging furniture, etc. We're both so very excited.

One drawback though... my father died in 96. My step father died 3 years ago. My wife's father died when she was 2. Her step father chooses to have a minimal (at best) role in our lives. So our daughter will be growing up never knowing the love of a grandfather, and the grandfathers will have never met her before...and that breaks my heart. All we can do is pray for comfort I suppose, and revel in the joy that God has provided for us.

Enough of my ramble. Just wanted to share our excitement.

Congrats CT!!!!

I remember the anticipation and everything that goes with it! My Grandfather died when I was 14. He was my best friend. He took me to catch my first fish ever! I share with my children the great memories we had and work hard making our own.

A word of advice - EVERY time your wife says "it's time," take her seriously. Because the one time you don't, you'll wish you had. (from someone who knows first hand  ).

I wish nothing but the best for you and your family!

She is due 4 weeks and 1 day from now... March 20th. Nursery is painted and ready to go. Just waiting for our pretty lavender shag rug to show up for in there.

Just the other night my wife and I were laying in bed, about to drift asleep...when she muttered "listen...it's so quiet...I'm going to miss that". We both got a chuckle out of it.

CT,
Congrats to you and your wife. Some very important people have been born of March 20 so she'll be in good company, namely my wife.

God Bless
