Prayer Request

A mother of eight in our church has cancer. Her youngest son is in my Wed. night class, and she teaches another grade. She recently had surgery, but now faces chemo and radiation. Please pray for her, and for her son and other children. He seemed really bummed out tonight, and there wasn't a thing I could do.

Happy, I'll be there in prayer for them.

We've all heard that losing a child is the worst kind of pain. Losing a parent while still a youngster must be a close second. It's far too easy for kids to, somehow, begin blaming themselves in those cases as well.

After reading your words in my own time of "heightened anxiety," I'm glad you're there for the kid(s) as well.

I'll pray also. In our church community, we've see tremendous results from prayer supplemented with chemo, radiation and surgery. Greatest of all has been that those affected have found the real peace that comes from trusting in the Lord.
