Default Fixing chipped Porcelain

Does anyone know if a chip in a White Porcelain kitchen sink can be fixed? It’s right near the garbage disposal/drain opening. It's about the size of a pencil eraser, it's black and ugly

Thanks
CM

If you want a professional repair, there are companies out there that do it - - - "Anywho" something like tub repair, porcelain repair, etc.

I just did a porcelian repair on the tub at the house my daughter rents (no, she didn't do the damage . . it was already there and she didn't like it, right on the outer rim and pretty obvious - - 'damage was MUCH larger than what you describe). We got a porcelian repair product at Home Depot (I'm sorry, I don't have the product name). Tammy spoke with the clerk - - apparently/supposedly, it only came in the one color and didn't match very well. Anyway, we followed the directions for the repair and once that was done, I matched the color by masking and "rattle-canning" the repair with Rustoleum Appliance-white epoxy paint. The repair is not perfect - - but, it's pretty darned good - - you have to look for it to see it - - it doesn't just jump out and catch your eye any more. 'Hope this helps some. Don

I fixed tubs, showers, spa's, and the occasional sink for about ten years. It can be repaired and the color will match (if you get a good repairman). The problem is it will probably come with no guarantee on the repair because of the method the repairman will use compared to the process (baking) the mfg. uses. Being in the bottom makes it tougher also. Not sure what they charge these days in the business, but 15 years ago it would have cost you a min. of $65-$85 and possibly a little more depending on your location. If it really does bother you, I would say go with some kind of home kit or just replace it.
