Looking for survival info
I’m looking for some credible survival websites. I’m working on a speech for my public speaking class and the topic I plan on focusing on two things one, how to get found once lost, and two what your priorities should be while waiting to be rescued. Any web links would be great. They can be sent though a PM or posted here if the mod’s will allow it. And I also feel that we would be killing 2 birds with one stone. The viewers of this website would get to see some potential useful information and ill get a good grade on my speech. Im also looking for info my self. However, i fugure ill get more info if I have 100 sets of eyes looking then if i was looking on my own.
I also understand that field and stream came out with an article that dealt with the mindset of somebody when they become lost. Is there i place i can view this article, or will i need to buy a copy of the magazine?
Thanks once again

Re: Looking for survival info
Patrick Mc Mannis has a few different perspectives on getting and being lost and the different types of panic. Sorry but I don't know his website but I know he has written quite thoroughly on the subject.
Also what ehunter said.

Re: Looking for survival info
If this is for college your library should be full of information in their periodical section. Also, the schools library should have access to a very large database that you can search from school and from home.
Good luck

The Field and Stream article is called "Woods Shock Can Kill" and it is in the October 2006 issue on page 40.

Re: Looking for survival info
What about the show "Survivor Man" on the Discovery Channel. They drop him off in the wild with only a few necessities and he has to live off the land for a few days and then navigate his way to safety. He does this while filming the entire outing. I would try searching something on him.
