Consider it done!
While I'm at it, I'll add the medical staff of Woodland Park Hospital. They just closed doors today.

Re: prayer for job situation update 1-20-04
I prayed for you this morning. I hope everything works out for you. I was in a similar situation about 9 years ago, ended up quitting before I could be fired, but had a job lined up thankfully. Put it in God's hands, but have a resume ready.

Re: prayer for job situation update 1-20-04
I have and will pray for you and your family in these stressful times. Not an easy situation, but ask for Wisdom, and remember that God does not give us more than we can bear (even though we do not recognize it always because we try to do it ourselves).

Prayer works! I'm glad you kept your job, but I would start looking elsewhere, you know what I mean.

Re: prayer for job situation update 1-20-04
Folks, Gods will is always done, He always gets His way, or He would not be God...or He wopuld not be your particular understanding of God...Hnkstr...would God still be "good" had you not kept your Job? Sometimes we go thru things that make no sense, and God has nothing to do with it.God is differant to differant paradghms yeppir but He is so much bigger than us

Re: prayer for job situation update 1-20-04
Feisty, those things that make no sense merely make no sense to us. We are not as smart as God. I wanted to go to medical school, and was a shoo-in to get there, but events that I got very angry about got in the way. But ten years later, I was glad I didn't go. We all have trials. What is important is not our understanding of them, but our response to them. Are we faithful? I don't know why God gave me five kids, but he did. I don't know why I worked in restaurants for 8 years after graduating from college, but he does. I believe that there is value in suffering. Christ certainly suffered, much to our benefit. We all suffer. How do we view it? Are we, like Job, faithful when we suffer? Do we, like Stephen, never lose hope, but pray for those who cause our suffering? Do we, like Paul, change our direction when we are afflicted by God? I think Paul was made blind by God to illustrate to him the reality of his situation. I think that in many ways we are all like Paul. We all persecute the faithful, even if in small, even miniscule ways, and it is because of our blindness. Do we take our lessons from God, like Paul did? Do we listen to the rebuke of our neighbor or our God, like Peter? I think most of us are in the same situation as Peter. We are average Joe's, we make blunders, we boast to God of our strengths when we really have weaknesses in their place, but God has a use for us nonetheless. On a thoroughly average apostle, one who made as many mistakes as he got things right, Jesus called "Rock", and promised to build his church.
