Please say a prayer for my wife
My wife had some test done last month after some irregularities were detected at her annual physical. They noticed a hard spot on her cervix and and enlarged thyroid. They did ultrasound and x-rays on both areas. We had not heard anything back until today. She talked to the doctor and he would not tell her anything over the phone. We have to go in tomorrow to get the results. My immediate reaction is that if they can't tell you over the phone, it isn't good. I pray that is not the case.
To say the least, I am very concerned for my wife. She has been through so much already in her life. She is a brain tumor (non-malignant) survivor. Back in 1985, a undetected brain tumor started to bleed and resulted in a sub-dural hemotoma that left her partially paralized on her left side. After two brain surgeries and lots of physical therapy, she had done very well in overcoming that challenge.
We would appreciate any prayers that you can send our way to help us get through this. We will rely on our faith in our Lord to give us strength.

Re: Please say a prayer for my wife
brshooter,
You and your wife will both be in my prayers. Just remember this verse:
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Re: Please say a prayer for my wife
I'm sorry to hear the news Bill. I will put this out on some prayer chains and will ask for prayer beginning tomorrow for your visit and also for peace and comfort through this process. She is a warrior and with the grace of God you both will pull through.
Blessings,
Keith

Re: Please say a prayer for my wife
I just wanted to thank everyone for the prayers you said for my wife and I. We truly appreciate it.
The Lord heard those prayers. God came through for us again. Big Time!
Gini and I met with the doctors today. Both tests did show irregularities. The thyroid scan showed a beneign growth. This can be treated with thyroid medicine.
The determination on the pelvic scan appears to be fibroids. It is still something she needs to deal with, but not anywhere as serious as any what we imagined after the phone call yesterday. We were just relieved that there were none of the "oma" words brought up.
I did let them know that initial call could have been handled better. Maybe something like "We got your test results back. There was nothing to be alarmed about, but we would like to have you come in to discuss them".
Again, thanks to everyone for their prayers.
