Prayers and more Prayers Needed

Some time ago, back in 1903, a little girl was born, he name came to be Lorine, and she grew up in Wiscounsion (sp) and at the tender age she moved to the east side of Portland, some time later she met her mate, and became one with him, his name was Homer Johnson, well thay hade one little girl my mom.
I am going to make this short, as I am haven a hard time with this post at this time.
Grandma, in 2 mounths from now (if she makes it) well turn a young age of 101, Yes 101.
Our family has not, or our haratage, have hade anyone make it this far.
Well she hade a stroak last friday at home and it took for a short time her walking strength, and spent the weekend at the hospital, she has gone to a rest home for some recovery, and the Dr, said if you can walk to the bathroom, with the help of your walker you can go home, Yes to her home.
She some time Friday night she hade to go to the restroom and got out of bed, and went some distance, and fell down shadering her hip, so off to the hospital again, Saturday she went into surguary, the Dr, after the operation, said all we could do is pin it together, and that she well never walk again, what a blow to all of us.
She well not be going home to her house, she well be in the nursing home now untell God call's her.
She at this time knows no one, my sister, my self, or any family members.
The Dr, said enjoy this time with her as her time is short in this life.
I ask all to Pray for our family.
We are all hurting, and time is short.

Sounds like you really love your grandma dearly and she is well deserved to be remembered. Cherish those memory's deeply in your heart. I will be praying that the Lord will comfort all of your family and rest asured you know she will be in a better place.

I'm praying. I used to work in a nursing home. A bit of advice: the fact that she doesn't recognize you may be due to the stroke, or it could be a combination of the stroke and the medications. Instruct the nursing staff to make sure she's drinking plenty of water, and have have her doctor review her medications. If they gave her or are giving her something to calm her down, it can have an effect on memory in a very elderly person. It can take several days to get it out of the system. It may or may not help her regain memory, but that's been my experience.
