Job Interview
I have a job interview in the afternoon. If it is God's will for me, I hope I get it. It is a wonderful opportunity for my family, but it is in something I've never done before. I feel unprepared, although I've spent over a day in preparation, and an hour in prayer this evening. Please pray, after you've prayed for those who need prayers more than me.

Re: Job Interview
We ALL need prayer ...our needs are just different. And I applaud you for taking the leap of faith to try something different. My prayer for you is that if it His will, He will clearly show you by the interview. Further, that you are comfortable with the interview/process.
I love reading your posts as it is apparrent you desire to do what God wants. Keep seeking His will. And keep us posted!

Re: Job Interview
Thanks for the prayers. They sure helped. It looked for awhile like I may not have been able to make the interview, with the weather and employees not able to make it in where I work. By a highly unusual and slightly complicated chain of events, which I won't go into detail here, just when it seemed like I'd need to call and cancel, I was able get out and get there exactly on time, without a minute to spare by their clock. Sometimes God gives us only and exactly what we need!
From my point of view, it seemed like it went very well. They seemed impressed, body language was positive, they complimented some of my answers, and I liked them. Of course, the proof is in the pudding. I'll know about a second interview next week. I expect that one to be harder, if I'm called for one.
Again, thanks for the prayers!

Re: Job Interview
Good job on the interview, keep us updated. If this is what the Lord has in place for you he will let you know. I will keep you in my prayers.

Re: Job Interview
Actually it's a second interview with the same place. It's a good sign that they called the next morning to set it up. They originally told me they'd call people for second interviews in a week.

Re: Job Interview
Happybrew... You can't get a new and different job!
It won't match your moniker any more! :-)
But it will fill your hearts desire to be removed from the gambling machines at your current job. I pray for your success..

Re: Job Interview
Well, I had the second interview this afternoon. They were hard to read. I think that was deliberate. There was nothing negative in their body language or words, but it wasn't as positive a response as in the first interview. I think two people on the panel might be interested, but the third was impossible to read. I went to Mass and prayed beforehand. A lot will depend upon my competition. It's out of my hands now. Yes, or no, I have to trust God. A "no" could very well be a blessing. Ya never know. Thanks for the prayers. They are much appreciated.
