First pic attempt!
As you can see from the white beard and nasty waders, I may be new to this board but not new to fishing. This Bow(?) comes from a tributary of the Snake, and the question comes from the fact that Ive always assumed these fish to be regular rainbows, but recently found that Idaho haas been planting the large Res. this creek dumps into with hundreds of thousands of steelhead a year for several years. Anybody know how landlocked steelies behave? (spawning, etc.)

Looks like a steelhead by the rudder. Pretty boat.

Re: First pic attempt!
I'm not sure there is a difference between a landlocked steelhead and a rainbow. Or if there really is such a thing as a steelhead that spends it's entire life landlocked. I understand that while brook trout can spawn in a lake, rainbows need running water to do it, i.e. inlet streams. By definition I'd say it's a rainbow, and much too pretty to be a steelhead that actually returned to snake from the ocean... Joe
