Death in the family

Just got a call from my mom about an hour ago regarding the death of my great uncle Ivan. My dad was pretty close to his uncle Ivan and he does'nt even know this has happened yet as he is fishing on the Wilson today. Pray for Pop as this news is going to crush him tonight when my mom fills him in on the days events.

Ivan was 83 and a resident of Winston Oregon. He ran a body shop there for years accross from the dairy queen and is pretty well known there.

This morning Ivan went to the hospital to have an angiogram done as he had been experiencing a little chest pain. Long story short, one of the wires slipped during the proceedure and punctured his artery and he died right there on the table. He of course was awake during this proceedure and was aware of what was happening.

I am asking that you pray for my Aunt Polly and their two daughters that the Lord will give them strength and comfort. This is going to be expecially difficult on Aunt Polly as she is also nearly 80 and her daughters do not live in the area.

Thanks for listening and for your prayers. Pray for my Dad and for Polly. Gonna be a tough evening tonight.

Thanks, appreciate it. Dad took it pretty well last night. I went over to the house to be with mom until dad got home from the Wilson. We talked about Ivan a little and how he and Polly were some of our favorit people to visit when we were on vacations.

We just got their Christmas card last week with a picture and Polly was telling us how active Ivan was and about the projects he had in the making. Going to be very hard for her to adjust now that Ivan is gone.
