Please someone has to have that poem/prayer for when you lose your best friend aka dog.
My best friend got the word today that the vet cant do anymore for Reggie and that he is going to have to leave this place were we all love him. He can not get another transfusion as he cant handle being put under and everything is shuting down. I just drove home from there after see him for the last time and visiting and comforting my best friend, bawling all the way home.. dang it.

But I want that poem/prayer so that I can print it off with a picture I have of Reggie and give it as a gift to my best friend.

Just this side of heavenis a place called the Rainbow Bridge
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
someone here,that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.There is plenty of food,water,and sunshine,and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All of the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content,except for one thing;they each miss someone very special to them,who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together,but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.His bright neyes are intent;His eager body quivers.Suddenly he begins to run from the group,flying over the green grass,his legscarrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted,and when you and your special friend have meet,you cling together in joyous reunion,never to be parted again.The happy kisses rain down your face;your hands again caress the beloved head,and you look into the eyes of your trusted pet,so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.....
I hope that is what you were looking for it brought a tear to my eye just writing it,I have 3 dogs myself and dread the day when one of them goes

Sorry to hear about your friend's dog. Sounds like he's very loved. A lot of the dogs I know are better people than some people I know.
