Baseball. Pick the winner.
Well since the Braves deflated this year I guess I'm going to have to root for the underdogs...Go Tigers!

The Yankees should win it. I would prefer that the A's would return to the top.

Re: Baseball. Pick the winner.
After yesterday it could be, really long shot, the ever amazing mets. A's have so far followed their norm but the next 2 games are crutial although I think when Hunter missed that ball it was the end of the Twins. Tigers have some really good pitchers but they are in a real funk. Yankees what can you say but #9 hitter was in the al batting championship race. Really not sure how to look at the cards and padres they both kinda bumbled into the post season but were looking better right at the last couple of games.
I must thank my father for this baseball addiction some time.

Re: Baseball. Pick the winner.
Yanks will win. No matter how much people hate them, one thing is for sure; Jeter is the new Mr. October. With the way he plays in the postseason, the Yanks always have chance to take it all. I just hope the pitching holds up. Like Jim Leyland said, "They are murderer's row plus Cano"

So who is it going to be tonight. A's or Tigers. Zito for the A's at home makes it a good bet but......

Re: Baseball. Pick the winner.
Well A's fans what happened. Was a good game but only 1 run with 27 left on base.ouch that is 28 total chance to score a runner and Detroit ha 5 runs and 21 left on that is 26. ouch again So root your A's on I want 6 more games.
Game 1 tonight nlcs I still say that the mets pitching isn't good enough to make it through this series.
53 Chad Bradford R/R 6-5 205 09/14/74
25 Pedro Feliciano L/L 5-10 185 08/25/76
47 Tom Glavine L/L 6-0 185 03/25/66
48 Aaron Heilman R/R 6-5 220 11/12/78
39 Roberto Hernandez R/R 6-4 245 11/11/64
33 John Maine R/R 6-4 205 05/08/81
59 Guillermo Mota R/R 6-4 210 07/25/73
27 Darren Oliver R/L 6-2 220 10/06/70
46 Oliver Perez L/L 6-3 210 08/15/81
43 Royce Ring L/L 6-0 220 12/21/80
29 Steve Trachsel R/R 6-4 205 10/31/70
13 Billy Wagner L/L 5-11 205 07/25/71
That is not a pitching staff i would have confidence in. my cousin greg is gonna kill me for this. silly mets fan that he is.
I'll be and using my pip tonight with the stupid Selig having both games head to head what a doof.

Re: Baseball. Pick the winner.
I love college football too Drachir (the Ducks that is) but this is such a great time for sports fans that we have to fill the other six days of the week too!
The American League has been so dominant the last few years that I'd have to pick the winner of the Tigers- A's series too bring the prize home. Since I was born and raised in Detroit...gotta choose them. Not much science here.
The Ducks are ready to take out their frustrations from last week out on UCLA. Looking for a big win at home!
Go Ducks!!

I think that the Tigers are for real. They have some great pitching. Those guys can bring the heat.

Re: Baseball. Pick the winner.
OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
That Cards/Mets game hurt last night Hopefully this doesn't continue on to the next 2 games...
I was listening to the game driving home from Idaho last night. My girlfriend and I started unloading her stuff, and it was 5-3 (Delgado had just hit his 3 run shot). It maybe took all of 20 minutes to unload, and I turn the game back on and it's now 11-3??????? Wow...didn't expect that.
