Default Clack Coho

Hey ya'all ;-)

was thinking about taking my 8wt + sink tip down to the Clack and try to locate and maybe even hook my first Coho on a fly....

Any help ideas, flies, suggestions?
(it has already been suggested I get a life, and various sarcastic explicatives, so your too late on those)

Coho on the Clackamas can be difficult because they are headed for Eagle Creek and don't like to linger. That said, the best location will be around the mouth of Eagle Creek which can be reached at Bonnie Lure Park.

You don't need to scrape bottom to catch Coho, so start with your Intermediate tip and switch to the type 3 if you get no results. A #4 Purple ESL or Purple Angel would be a good starting fly.

Fish not going directly into Eagle Creek (which is very low), will probably swim past the mouth into the hole located adjacent to and slightly above the mouth.

If you spot fish in Eagle Creek, you can use a floating line.

Andy sounds like he really knows what he is doing but I would like to add a fly that I use for silvers in the rivers that Andy used a few days ago for them in the surf

Fluorescent green and white bucktail clouser (tiny bit of crystal flash too) with lead hourglass head (that has white and black painted eyes) so it falls head first between short quick strips
