After Wednesday's foray, I'd say forget Newport and go out of Garibaldi. The tuna bite seems to be north, not west.

It was skinny pickin's out there. The water was warm enough and blue, blue, blue, but nooooo fish.

If I were to go, I'd think Tilly.

Jim
You got all winter to play with those horses, and putter around the house. Hook up that fish killing machine to that truck, and meet me at the Garibaldi dock tomorrow morning.

Its gonna be a long winter saying "I coulda made one more trip out of Garibaldi if I had only gone"

I saw over a 1000 jumpers Wednesday, just seeing the fish work is worth the trip.

If I didnt already have a full crew, I would drive down and kidnap you tonight

The price of fuel is coming down the sun is setting in the west on our 2006 season :depressed: its time to make some more memories

Man, you is da debbil hisself, come sittin' on my shoulder, whisperin' in my ear 'bout them tuner fish. But I gotta admit I shore would like one more trip. Just one. I promise.

But.... I've never been out of Tilly, and I'm not sure starting out in the fog is the best way to learn it. I know, you guys that do it all the time tell me it's a piece of cake, but in any port there's things you need to know - and I'm a complete greenhorn about the north.

Lemme think.

Jim,
Who said anything about fog?

Its gonna be nice and warm, tuna jumping as far as the eye can see, sun shining on the water, fish jumping as far as the eye can see, greasy slick water, tuna jumping as far as the eye can see, birds floating ever so gracefully over the water, tuna jumping as far as the eye can see, the smell of salt in the air, tuna jumping as far as the eye can see, .......... (you get the idea )

Garibaldi is not a dogleg hole in a rock ya gotta squeeze thru, its a bar with jetties, not much unlike Newport

See you in the morning Jim, we run on Ch 14, why not come run with the BEST, Tuna Time will be out there putting on a clinic

Dock time is 6:30

Damn, you're making it tough to sit home this weekend Roy. Even with hunting season next week.
Lemme try and scrape up a crew. Fishplay, you got any of that mojo left?

Roy, that's harsh!

I'm recuperating from 3 consecutive days of tuna fishing. Maybe next week if the weather is good, this weekend I'm resting up a bit and eating fresh tuna off the grill instead of raw at the fish cleaning station!
