Default Merc. Alarm ?

I am running a 2001 Merc. 225 DFI. I now have an alarm that constantly beeps while the engine is running. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If it`s a constant BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP it`s an over heat alarm, if it`s a BEEP, BEEP, BEEP it`s an oil issue. Low oil in the main resivour, or a little air in the tank under the cowling, (it must be completly purged), or any number of other things. Don`t run the engine anymore without a premix of 50:1. Barrow a portable tank untell you get it figured out.

My old 1995 Force 120 made by Merc had a high temp audible alarm.
