Default CG buys $8m in Rockitwear

Yes that is correct! After months of competitive bidding and design. The U.S. Coast Guard awarded U.S.I.A. of St. Helens Oregon a single sole source award for $8,021,870.00
This is the largest contract in history ever awarded for drysuits by the Department of Homeland Security

They will be wearing a waterproof breathable design of my own version of ROCKITWEAR as purchased by some of you Ifishers.

This contract will continue over the next 5 years, and add new jobs to Columbia and Tillamook Counties.

Where does the USCG plan to use these drysuits??

Is it an Alaska thing or in the NW? I cant imagine the USCG using them in southern Calif or the gulf coast but I just dont know

I assume these are surface dry suits, not dive suits??

Congrats KJ

They will be used at every small boat station, port security unit, MSST team, CG cutter, ice breaker. The entire world. They are similar to what they are using now. Suits today maybe BLACK ROCKETS tomorrow!
