Default A little poem I wrote

I was sittin in the coffee shop at school (Western Baptist College)and I was having a tough time in my walk. I grabbed a pen and paper and started writing about what was going on and this came out.

Walking Down Hill

I can feel myself walking down hill.
It's so easy and fun, a total thrill.
Some day I gotta get back to the top,
but walking down hill is so hard to stop.
You take the first step and then number two.
Its easy 'cause there's people walking with you.
Sooner or later you must realize
that walking down hill is so full of lies.
You see you not walking, it's more of a fall
and once you get started there's not hope at all.
So you skid and you slide while trying to grip
You grasp and you reach, but continue to slip.
Just when you think you'll never get back,
someone steps in and picks ou the slack.
Suddenly your feet reach a solid place
and all you can do is thank God for his grace.

Its nothing too polished, but it was definately an encourgement to me when I read it back to myself. Its funny how God can use everthing including yourself to tell you what you need to hear. I hope you guys find that it in a time of need it may be just what you're looking for.

There's a lot of truth and wisdom in those few words. It's one of those things you want to pin to the mirror in the bathroom. Maybe a quick glance while you're shaving in the morning.

Glad you shared it with us.

Thank you for sharing -- it expresses my current discussions with the Lord and what he has in store for me-

Short Hop- You ought to turn that in to Dr. Tenant (sp). She would give you an "A" for sure. Hey you might run that by Jim Hills also I bet he could help you publish it.

That's right I went to Western as well. Graduated in 1998 with a youth and family studies/psychology degree.

Your poem is what I needed to hear this morning. Thanks for posting.
