This board...
Thank you God, for this board, which often brings me back to where I belong.
Sometimes I get lost in the internet, and become heavily burdened by things that are not about you.
Thank GOD I put this board up, because it brings me home, and puts my heart in a place where it should be, more often.
I want to thank each and every one of you who post here, and help to bring our focus back to Him.
Most of all, I want to thank God, for looking over his Fishermen and women, and blessing this small, but important section of ifish.
Jen

Re: This board...
I spend more time on anglers chapel than on the other ones. I get a big blessing from this board.

Re: This board...
I wish that it was more than it is.
No.. wait. I pray for it to be more than it is!
Purely for selfish reasons. I need to be reminded to do more for others, to pray for others, and to follow him through out every minute, every hour, every day.
I am a forever struggling child of God. Once, a lady at church bought me a little wooden plaque of the naughtiest angel. Yip, that's me!
But I don't want to be that! I so wish that God would put out constant reminders for me. Or does he, and I refuse to look? I long for bill boards put up on the Hiway that say, "JENNIE! THINK GOD!"
How bout a friend program on ifish, where you we trade people, and e mail them through out the time we are at our computer. Just little bible verses, or reminders that God loves them? Good idea? Bad?
If you are interested, E mail me! I could use a prayer pal!
I sincerely believe that true happiness and success is found with God, deeply embedded in your life. I also believe that when I am not happy, it is a strong clue as to my failure in my walk with Christ.
Once, I went to a ladies bible study where the leader, a close friend of mine, posed the question, "If you had your wish, which one would you choose? A spectacular close relationship and friendship with God, or winning the biggest lottery?" Doesn't that put you on the spot?
We discussed it all night. Interesting study!
Anyway, I wish there were a computer program that did little obnoxious pop ups that reminded me, while I work, of God's presence. If there were such a program, I'd buy it in a minute.
Then, when I came across challenges in my life, and in running ifish, I would remember the bigger picture, and perhaps I wouldn't become so stressed out?
Just some thoughts.
Jen

Re: This board...
I just remembered something! When I was going through my divorce, I put little bible verses, scribbled onto pretty colored paper, and taped them to all my mirrors, and in places where I often frequented... Fridge, coffee maker, etc.
It was really comforting! I think I'll do that again!
I still have one of them up! It says:
GOD IS IN CONTROL!
It's a good thing I'm not, cuz... well, talk about a disaster!

Re: This board...
This board is also one of my favorite stops when I visit my Ifish family. When I first came here it felt good to see there was a place where there was so much genuine caring and concern for each other. I felt as if I had fallen in with a good crowd. Still do.
God bless.

Re: This board...
Amen Jennie.
I come here every time I log in.
I don't respond to every post (no different than the other boards) but I am praying with and for everyone.
I find the stregnth to deal with my Mothers illness here at the AC.
Thank you so much for providing us a place to worship.

Re: This board...
The blessing of Christian fellowship is one that we often over look -- often do nothing to encourage. Do we, when we get together with one another, share what the Lord is doing in our lives? Would a stranger over hearing our conversation know that we are Christians by what he heard? For me, the answer is only "sometimes". That realization has slapped me pretty hard recently. So I have been praying for God's direction to refocus my attention. Not just on Him, but also on those that I come in contact with -- That they would see some small portion of Him in me. -- The song "This Little Light of Mine, I'm gonna make it Shine" --
Jen, as to the idea that we have our very own friend program, prayer chain, what ever -- I am all for it. We are a family though many of us have never met -- but we share so much -- Love of the Lord, His creation -- and of course the small insanity He allows called fishing (and Hunting). I believe that it would be a powerful instrument for healing mind and body -- bring us even closer together and best of all we might reach a few "Lurkers".
