hey folks. i was curious about something. i was looking at the oregonian online for sunday. my question is what could an experienced (15yr) carpenter (specializing in custom trim and finish) verifiable refs, own vehicle, not a *******, no criminal record, with all my tools, power and hand expect to make in the northwest?(astoria/seaside) ball park? is there a site online to point me to? thanks for direction. scott

Most carpenters I know in this area are generalists who do a wide variety of activities. These guys are licensed independent contractors, who charge $30-$45/hour or bid their jobs.

google: central oregon builders association, i will guess the best oportunitys and pay will be working on the custom homes being built in a 30 mile circle of bend.

centraloregonjobs.com is also a fair resource for the central oregon area. that is also where most of the growth is happening.
