anyone see the wierd comet-like thing this AM?
I was driving home from the airport traveling so. on 205 at 5:58am this morning. As I approached the washington ave. overpass/exit I look up and see this bright green comet- looking flare streak across the sky heading downward towards gresham. I could see that it was close and would likely hit about 2-4 miles east of 205. I guessed it may have been moving about 100 MPH. I could not imagine what it could be. Did not look like a firework. More like a comet. I did not see flames in the tail, it was more green. Very strange.
Anyone else know if some kind of strange sighting was reported? I was tired, but not THAT tired.

Re: anyone see the wierd comet-like thing this AM?
I saw it! I was driving south on Andresen (Vancouver) on my way to work at about the same time. Green, and it looked like it was going down at a pretty steep angle, which made me think it was not a plane or other vehicle. At least I hope not.... Perhaps a 30-35 degree angle....
Very bright, and almost looked like it had a tail, but it could have been just moving that fast! If I had blinked, I would have missed it. It was that fast! I probably missed part of it's trajectory since the Heights (Again, Vancouver) was blocking part of the view.

are you sure you didnt mistake the international space station for a meteorite? it is in the south sky at right about that time for the next few days.

Now I must return to the Mother ship.
Kluu taar is rising in the West and we need to begin mining new Minerals in order for our reactor to achieve maximum charges.

We we're headed for the coast I-5 south at about 99th st. on Sat. at about 4:35 a.m. and saw absolutely the best shooter I have ever seen, I had time to wake up my son so he could see it! Usually, you get about 2 secs. From where I was, it looked like it would land west of I-5 across from Woodland, but it was probably a million miles away.

GBS,
I was out hunting in the Mt. Washington wilderness and saw a similar object. I saw it south of Mt. Washington and it came down east of the mountain. Greenish-blue streak, lasted about 4-5 seconds.
Must have been a meteor shower going on.
