In a lot of ways,I prefer the late season over the first...Sure you can't challenge rutting bulls,but tracking in the snow is at least as much fun if not more...Blood tracking is a breeze and meat cooling is not a problem...

I am also not busy at work that time of year and it is easy to get off...

I kinda wish I still had a tag...LOL

I guess I will follow Ken around with the video camera...Speaking of video cameras,I am going to make a rattling blacktails video this year during the late season,much like the spring bear video...Muzzleloaders and traditional bows....

I think I will sign you up for a copy right now...LOL

I already have some bonus footage from this saturday...Called this calf into 4 yards of Ken....He must be going to let it grow a couple months and wait for the late season cause he didn't shoot....

AND I HAD THE CAMERA ROLLING...LOL

Yes, late season it is. Really can't get any worse for me, after a fruitless 6 days hunting on the coast, I'm ready to go back fishing for awhile.

And hopefully between now and late season, I'll find some new ground to hunt.

Although some people did well.......this guy I work said his buddy got a record book 8x7 elk hunting the coast. Hopefully I'll get to see a picture soon.

I stuck with the mathews this year because I didn't have the time due to work to be ready with the recurve. Next year I'll have more time and it'll be the check_mate all the way
