Default pheasant vancouver lake

I went out to vancouver lake in the afternoon to see if I could see any youths hunting and there was none to be found! Is this a morning thing and where is the area that they have been hunting? I talked to a wildlife guy and he said it was the vancouver lake side (Is it along the old drag strip somewhere?) thanks for your input!

I went out on sunday and the youth hunt doesn't exist!!! I believe that there are people that would like to start a week earlier since there is lack of participation this weekend. Maybe the senior and disabled will be more existant!

I believe there was a youth hunt last weekend, as I was elk hunting and could not take my daughter.

You had to be there at 7:30 a.m., I only know because I had my son call the night before. We chose to go hunt ducks instead although we saw people pheasant hunting in the wrong release site.

Had my dog down there for the kids last year and it was packed. It is off the pleasant valley side. I wasn't there this year as i was at the coast. But my buddy said it was well attended again this year.
Shooting planted pheasants is for kids. No challenge. Go east, it is cheaper and the birds are more fun.
