Default Please pray for the swordfishers

As some of you may know, several of your fellow ifishers from the Salty Dogs saltwater fishing group were to head west out of Newport today after swordfish and other billed fish. This will be a several day journey heading west approx 125 miles. They are captained by Popeye (Bruce) on his capable ship the Julie Rose III, and crewed by Pilar (John), Ocean Blue (Jen), Skein (Jim), and Corrirod (Rod).

While they have carefully planned this trip and have taken many safety precautions, it is a very big ocean and unpredicted events occur. Please join me in keeping their journey in prayer that God may grant them a good trip and safe return.

They are in my prayers daily.

Thanks for the reminder.

The crews returned safely. 135 miles out!

A second boat (the Blitz) also went out, but had to return early. The crew of the Julie Rose III have not fully shared their experiences, but some of the commnets made so far sounded like our prayers were needed.

Thank you for keeping them in prayer.
