tuna, Newport, MTW, FILLED seats
The seats are filled, only had a couple of seats and had more responses than I could accomodate. There may still be a few trips yet this year, I'll go again if we get more good weather.
I'm planning on tuna MTW--those that have gone fishing with me are laughing and saying NO WAY 'cause I don't usually get in early enough to go again early the next day! But I'm gonna really try to get back no later than 8 this time, hopefully by 6 or 7. I won't clean fish till Thurs, so it'll be a quick wash-down of the boat and go get gas and ice. Of course crew can do what they like with their share of the fish, i.e., clean fish then or later. I'm not sure of the number of open seats I'll have, my son has some business to take care of and doesn't know yet if he'll be able to fish or not and I haven't heard back yet from the usual suspects, but I think I'll have at least one seat (maybe more) available each day. A crew(counting me) of 4 works, 3 is fine too. I haven't tuna fished yet with just two of us, but am willing to do so even though I think 3 of us on board is better.
I'll also have a place for folks to stay if they want, will have the cabin for Mon, Tues, and Wed night, maybe Thurs night also.
If you're interested, pm me with which day(s) you'd like to go and which night(s) (if any) you'd like to stay in the cabin. Also pm me your phone number. I'm willing to answer questions about Silverfish, how it's equipped, or me and my experience. I might have some questions for you too.
I expect we'll be meeting at the boat garage by 6 a.m., maybe by 5:30 each morning. I'd like to leave the dock before 6:30 each morning.
You'd need raingear, warm clothes, boots, cooler, ice, and lunch. Crew can bring their own gear to use if they wish. Boat costs are usually in the neighborhood of $200 to $240 total, so the share depends on the number of us.
I plan on leaving for Newport tomorrow sometime and want to have crew finalized by then. Of course each day's trip is weather dependent, but it looks like each day will at least be doable and may even be fairly nice if the wind holds off till late afternoon each day.
