Prayers for uh.... Krazzy Joe. :)
My son, Andrew, who is 16, has black dyed hair and insists on being called Krazzy Joe... has an enlarged aorta that is being monitored for possibility of dissection.
He was being seen every year, but after last check, they decided the growth was too much, and now insist on seeing him every 6 months.
Got a call for the apt this morning. They are serious! YIKES!
I'm a little nervous about it. We could both probably use prayers.
Although Krazzy Joe has wandered a bit far from where I'd like him, I know that kids will come back to the truth, if you raise them that way. I have faith!
Anyway, please, say a prayer for Andrew, (and me!) on October 16th.
Good to see people posting here. It gives me warmth and comfort.
Thanks,
Jen

I will pray for both of you, for a good result, for peace of mind and for the strength to make it though the testing without too much anxiety.

JEN
My haert goes out to you, My oldest was born with a small hole in her heart, it is all ok now but at the time I felt like the world had just came to an end . I was like that till she grew out of it which only took a couple of months, I was a compleet basket case . This was all BC (before I became a Christian). YES I will pray for Krazzy Joe ( Your Son ) I feel for you Jen.
Lean on God for He knows what is best for EACH one of us, even if we can't know why.

Re: Prayers for uh.... Krazzy Joe. :)
Yes! Reminds me of our pastor who had to have his little one go under the knife for open heart, she was four or five. One of the hardest if not the hardest time for him as a parent. A total since of helplessness-you always seeem to have control or some sense of it but when the child is in the OR it is totally out of your hands--BUT all the more reason to totallly rely on Him. To trust Him, because he knows what He's doing. Some great Christian nurses at some of those hospitals and they too may be willing to pray with you as my pastor and his wife joyfully discovered.
Please keep us posted of your needs and Andrew's.
Jim
ps The pastors daughter is just as healthy as can be came through fine.
If you find the need to talk to a parent that has gone through their childs open heart surgery and has dealt with all the anxieties, emotions etc. I can give you his email or phone. Just let me know.

Today is the day! We are off to Portland to have his aortic root measurement taken.
Please remember Krazzy Joe in your prayers!

Re: Prayers for uh.... Krazzy Joe. :)
We will lift you all up in prayer!
BTW Jen, if you or your sons are in the Portland area please bring them to one of the Hideout Ministries tour events which kicks off Saturday. We have tons of youth there with colored hair  and youth speakers talking about today's issues from a youth perspective.
Blessings,Keith

Re: Prayers for uh.... Krazzy Joe. :)
Yay! Kind of! I think!
His aortic root measurement, oddly enough, was smaller than before. We were assured that this isn't possible, and most probably, the last result was off a bit, and this one too?
I'm not certain what is going on, but in any case, he's not headed for surgery this week!
Thank you, God!
Jen
