It is how I would want to go! Fishing to my last breath. My condolences and thoughts to the family..the ones who really suffer most when death occurs.

Are charter boat captains required to know first aid as far as a requirement for getting a license?

All my prayers are with those he touched and will miss him.

This one hits alittle close to home in that Father who fishes with me almost every trip is obeis (fat) and 60 years old.

I treasure every trip and moment i get with him, take nothing for granted and your life will be fuller.

Godspeed.

I too pray for his family's loss
I also pray for the Capt'n of Mr Max
If it was Max Haight's son running the boat that day I am sure he or whoever was Capt'n is totally devistated by this

I just wanted to add a little memorial here to one that died at age 53 who was a fisherman
his name was Clint Mitchel and he was the deckhank on the Mariner and on the Sunrise both Captained by Craig Calkins
out of Deoe Bay

I greave deeply every time a life is lost at Depoe Bay
