No snow on any hills except the mountain itself. Oak Campgound closed, Hoodview open but ramp only 4x4 accessible. Launched at the dam at Pine Point. Boated right out into a thick fog in the morning. Sun cameup through the fog- that was cool! Unfortunately that was about the end of anything else being cool :depressed:
Fished from 7:30 to 1:00pm with out even one hit from anything! That's a slow trout fishing day. One other boat had the same luck. One boat caught one 10" trout. A fly fisherman said he usually has excellent luck on bigger fish this time of year- he caught nothing.
A bank fisherman caught two the day before 16-17 inches. Only one caught that day.(10")
It started to get windy when I left. Knowing this scenario- it was gonna get a lot worse soon! At least it was a generally nice day spent in the peace and quiet of Timothy Lake.
There's something about that lake, it usually wins! Here's a pic of earlier in the year, nice day!
