Default Huckleberries???

Ok so I have a whole boatload of trees and bushes growing behind my house......most of it is pines/rhododendron misc bushes, but there is a lot of small bushes with little green oval leaves with berries that look a lot like blueberries (just larger). Are these huckleberries? Ive heard that people pick them around Florence a lot but dont want to pick something thats no good or poisonous......anyone?
thanks
Russ

Sounds more like Salal. Leaves maybe 4" long, Dark on top and light underneath? Berries in rows on a stalk? Huckleberries are pink and pretty small, the leaves are only 1/2" long or so and delicate.

Huckleberries are either blue or red and the plants look a lot like blueberries. Leaves are small like 1 1/4". The smaller the bushes the better the elk hunting.

no these arent Salal, I know what that looks like. These have little oval leaves maybe 1" long, pointy at the ends, and then little berries that look a lot like blueberries only a bit smaller and they only grow near the ends of the branches and in single berries (one per stem) not clusters like blueberries. I did some googling and pretty sure they are huckleberries but wanted to get imput from anyone thats got them before
