Default Chris Angel vs. David Blaine

I just watched Chris Angel for the first time last night.

Fairly entertaining.

I have not seen David Blaine except for a couple of his stunts that got some press.

How do the two compare? Is it an apple and oranges sort of thing or are they both doing the same base illusion(s) and dressing them up differently.

I don't buy the "what-you-see-on-tv-is-how-it-is-in-person" that Chris Angel boasts. One camera switch/edit during the act and that goes out the window.

I have seen Chris Angel perform twice once in Vegas and once at the Magic castle in LA and I will tell you he can pull off some amazing stuff. The difference between Chris Angel and David Blain is Chris Angel will tell you it is all an illusion while David Blain tries to play it off as special magic. My vote goes to Chris Angel and he is a super nice guy to boot use to go to church with a band I worked with from New Jersey (Circle of Dust). His Mom still goes to church there rp

Magic, Thumper. Catch up! Google either and check out some of the videos.

I can't remember which one, but one of them did a thing at a resturaunt where he passed a chili sauce bottle through a 2x6 table. Very cool.

copperfield is for old folks homes!!! now it's all about these two studs. Blain was the first to levitate by the way! and the card trick where he tosses a deck at the glass and your card sticks to the other side is way cool as well. I would be doing it every day if I could just walkin around freaking people out

Remember when copperfield did it on a moving train?

levitating 6 inches on the street and levitating between 2 buildings are not even the same!

All the illusions have pretty much been done by copperfield, these younger guys have "taken it to the street"

I prefer Blaine. He has a cool style....and I love card tricks.
Chris Angel is good. More stunt oriented.

Both are good Illusionists

Was it Angel that walked across water? That was cool.
But, we all know magic is not real. Right?

Jettin Fool, when you watched that, did it look like there were two tall ladie actors to you? The face of the ladie looks way different after she is torn in half

Chris Angel and David Blaine are both very talente, but I have to go with David Blaine. Who ever has not seen the South Park Episode about David Blaine starting his own religion "Blaintology" is really missing out

As entertaining and funny as that clip is, it is all too obvious that those around him (as I suspect is most often the case) are part of the act. I'm not sure that falls into the illusionist category but rather a funny skit with some editing.

I think they should have a cage match Angel vs. the Devil{Blaine, we need to spice it up a bit} I might enjoy that as much as wrestling or door to door salesmen, or a root canal.
