What's the hottest bait you've used lately?

We fished the ranch last saturday. Everything was working. Herring got the biggest fish though. We used tuna bellies, shad and herring.

We used marinated herring 2 weeks ago along with a squid wrapped and did ok biggest was 45

We used shad with squid or octopus strips my biggest that day was 53 inches and 75 pounds and only had 1 under 38 inches Avery good catch indeed

we caught 11 halibut 9 black cod 1 arrow tooth and one baby shark
the capt only wanted 1 halibut so we stopped 1 shy of a limit
